Vaccines & Immunizations
This page contains documents and links that will provide you with information regarding vaccines that are provided to our patients.

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has provided a Recommended Childhood and Adolescent Immunization Schedule, which we follow in our office. Our vaccine schedule is based upon the vaccine manufacturers that we use and meet or exceed the NYSDOH recommendations.

As of the 2019-2020 school year in New York State, non-medical exemptions are no longer allowed.
The 2025 - 2026 New York State School Immunization Requirements are here.

We are expecting the 2025 - 2026 Flu vaccines in our office towards the end of August.  As always, we will be calling patients to schedule their flu shots, as well as their well-child visits, but if you would like to schedule an appointment sooner, please call us at 518-273-3732. We try to start calling about 6 months before the well-child visit is due, to offer you the best times that suit your needs. Keep in mind, the closer you get to the date that you need, the busier the schedule will be, so try to schedule your child's well-visit as far in advance as you can. We can always change it if needed.

When an immunization is administered, Dr. Albert will provide you with a Vaccine Information Statement sheet for each vaccine. Vaccine Information Statements (VIS) are information sheets produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). VIS sheets explain both the benefits and risks of a vaccine. If you prefer, the VIS can be sent to the patient portal, instead of receiving a printed copy.

Immunize.org has created an excellent resource for information about vaccines/immunizations called Let's Get Real About Vaccines. There is a lot of information about vaccine safety, the science behind vaccines, vaccine-preventable diseases,  that can be prevented by vaccines, vaccine schedules, and frequently asked questions. If you have any questions regarding immunizations, please take a look at this website or feel free to call the office and someone will assist you.
